Realdania Arealudvikling
Realdania Arealudvikling A/S was founded in 2007 as a subsidiary of Realdania.
The objectives of the company are:
• to purchase, develop and sell areas for urban
development and formation so as to contribute to promoting the
quality in specific urban development projects and thus to improve
the framework for the built-up environment in Denmark
• to add value and promote quality in Danish
towns and cities, urban lifestyle, urban development, planning,
urban construction and architecture. This is to be achieved through
active ownership
• to invest in urban development and
subsequently to make sales in order to contribute to Realdania's
capital income.
Realdania Arealudvikling achieves its objectives through a variety
of approaches including entering into partnerships with public and
private partners, and planning and implementing strategy,
development and planning processes that lay down the framework for
specific urban development projects, urban construction and
architecture.
Realdania Arealudvikling A/S is wholly owned by Realdania. The
company is run by a Board of Directors with Flemming Borreskov as
its Chairman, and by Mette Lis Andersen as the CEO. Realdania
Arealudvikling has equity capital of DKK 250 million, and the
company is expected to invest in 1-2 development projects per
year.
In 2008, Realdania Arealudvikling entered into a partnership with
the Municipality of Fredericia. The working relationship with the
Municipality of Køge will be the company's second project.
