In order to generate the desired urban life in the new part of the town, Køge Kyst expects that, for example:

• The area will contain exciting urban spaces - squares, open areas, streets, stretches of quay, etc. - that are perfect places for people to meet and mingle.
• There will be cultural and recreational activities that generate a lively atmosphere and attract people - both existing activities like those in Tapperiet, the rowing club, the canoeing and kayaking club, and winter swimming, and new attractions such as workshops, exhibitions, musical events and competitions.
• The types of residence in the area will be mixed, so that there are large and small residences in different price ranges, and with different forms of ownership.
